National Garden Railway Conventions are hosted around the country each year by local garden railway clubs. The first Convention was hosted in Denver in 1985, and the proud tradition has continued. In 2025, the 40th annual convention will be hosted by
The Sacramento Garden Railway Society at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center.
The Sacramento Valley Garden Railway Society (SVGRS) was founded in 1988 by a group of individuals and families with a common interest in railroads, both model and full size, and gardening. Each railroad that will be open during the convention is unique to the desires of the homeowner and range from small & simple to large & complex. There will be something for everyone to enjoy! The SVGRS last hosted a National Garden Railway Convention in 2003.
